The average cost of common car repairs tallies up to nearly $400, according to CarMD. As there are several common repairs that you may need to address, it would be smart for you to look into making auto repairs more affordable for you. A good way to do that is by familiarizing yourself with the common types of car repairs you can face over time. So what sort of common car repairs are there?

    Radiator Issue Repairs

Your car radiator’s job is to primarily transfer the heat from the passing coolant towards the cooler air blown by the fan. As such, it plays a crucial role in keeping your engine cool and functional. The problem is that the radiator can also be the host of several problems such as leaks. Thankfully, there are simple solutions like buying effective stop leaks that will solve the problem from the inside.

    Oil Changes

The average cost of getting your car’s oil change will range from $20-$70, according to Credit Karma. Depending on the sort of car you have and the lubricants that you may use, the frequency of your oil change can vary from every 3,000 miles to around 7,500 miles. If you drive a lot, the overall cost can stack up. Thankfully, an oil change is something that you can do yourself. There may be some initial investment needed for the oil filter wrench, drip pans, and funnels. However, once you are used to the process, the overall cost will drop to less than $20 each time

    Spark Plug Replacement

The spark plug in your car is there to ignite gasoline that powers your car. Your car’s spark plugs will need to be replaced every 10,000 miles or so as they tend to wear out, according to Lifehack. If you choose to go to a mechanic every time you need your spark plugs replaced, you will pay an average of $286. Doing it yourself can lower the cost to around $15-$100.

Yes, car repairs will always be a fixture in the lives of car owners. However, this presence doesn’t need to be met with dread—especially when your finances are concerned. Arming yourself with the knowledge on what common repairs are expected and how to possibly address them yourself can help save you a lot of money and time in the long haul. So take your time and stock up on this knowledge now so you can meet it head-on.

    • We have done countless launch control starts in countless cars but this has to be one of the biggest surprises so far. It's not the fastest we have tested but the way it gets 2.2 tons off the line is something to experience. Get the British brute on some grippy tarmac and you will be blown away!

0 to 100 km/h is claimed to be 3.6s and that claim is accurate!
