Some of us have had the fortune/misfortune (whichever your take on these) of being in a car with a heads up display. Heads up display at the moment ends with displaying your speed so you don’t have to take your eyes completely off the road. The future of windscreens look much more tech savvy (and expensive) than just pulling into PG Autoglass and replacing it in an hour or 2. It is envisioned that the ‘windscreens of the future’ will be a  seriously intelligent piece of glass. It will be able to show the road you are on much like a 3D GPS, display alerts for cyclists, pedestrians and the likes and most importantly tell you which song is playing https://www.airmaniax.com/air-maniax-birthday-parties/… No but seriously this thing can even identify landmarks and places of interest based on what it can ‘see’.
