The little monster that the AMG division produces has arrived. For this iteration of the SLK, AMG is employing a naturally-aspirated version of Mercedes-Benz’s 5.5-liter V8. This powerpack is good for 415hp and with little flaps in the exhaust that produce a proper roar when your foot hits the carpet, this will give you a guaranteed smile. 0 to 100km/h comes in a blistering 4.5 seconds so one can be assured that this is no toy (although it does look like one). The baby merc looks fantastic and it seems even manufacturers are catching on to the black rims. This one sitting on matte black wheels makes the car look almost “tuned” and gives it a great touch. The rear looks fantastic although I dont feel that they have done enough with the front of the car. Seems pretty stock standard. All and all I really like this car and cant wait to hear that throaty V8 at full taps.
