Finally the details on the C-X16 concept have been released. This is a whole new type of car for Jaguar with respect to technology and design. They have fitted a supercharged V6 that can produce 380hp and 450Nm of torque. This does not sound too amazing but they have taking some Formula 1 technology and fitted it to this. It has a boost system which comes from a 1.6kWh battery and provides the car with a whopping 100hp and 235Nm of torque when the button is pushed. The battery is charged through the regenerating system under braking just like KERS. This power package is coupled with an 8 speed gearbox which allows the car to accelerate to 100km/h in 4.4 seconds and onto a top speed of 300km/h. The C-X16 is also able to travel at speeds of up to 80km/h under electric power alone. This is the smallest Jag ever created since the XK120 in 1954. Live pictures will be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show but to be honest I think it it looks flipping awesome!
