GRAPHIC: I recently saw this new footage of the fatal 1977 Tom Pryce F1 disaster at Kyalami. Two teenage fire marshals ran across the track to put out the blaze. Unfortunately one of the marshals was struck by Pryce which killed him instantly and the extinguisher he was carrying smashed into Pryce’s head. It hit with such force that it tore off the helmet which in turn almost decapitated the driver and killed him too.
