BMW has never completely written off making a new M1 in fact it has been the complete opposite with plenty chatter and rumors going around about the successor. Well according to Automobile Mag, this car will be built and will be called the M8. BMW will enter the supercar market again afterall! Apparently BMW will show the new car in 2016 as this will be their centenary year of the BMW brand. Quite special I think? Reports are suggesting that it would be sharing a platform with the i8 hybrid and powered by a V8. This is seriously exciting news! The original M1 was something VERY VERY special so this will have to be right up there to compete!
