Extreme Audi TT Version Possibly in The Works

The head of development at Audi has revealed they want to release a version of the next TT with exotic materials to keep weight down. It will probably receive a reworked version of the current five-cylinder turbocharged engine but will also receive a rollcage. The target weight is to max out the scales at 1000kg. If we look at the current ‘hot’ TT, the TT RS Plus, it only takes 4.1 seconds to hit the 100km/h mark so if we see this hotter version of the TT going ahead, this could mean this goes straight into supercar territory. A knock on effect of this will be that the brand spanking new Audi R8 could in fact get a much bigger boost than we can all expect to keep up in that market.
