Here are some pictures of the 2014 VW Golf R. Initially I got a fright because it looked so ordinary but then I did some digging and these pictures are not a fully built prototype thanks goodness. We do get to see the new quad exhausts which replace the twin tips in the middle (sorry if you a big fan of these). It will reportedly have 290hp (216kW) being produced from a revised 2-liter turbo TSI mated with the DSG box and the 4Motion all-wheel drive. I hope the styling makes the car look properly aggressive! Expect to see this car on the roads in first quarter of 2014.
