The latest report from Bugatti (this time a positive one) is that they have just confirmed that the Vitesse has set a new world speed record for open-top or convertible production car. The car hit an insane speed of 408.84km/h driven by a Chinese entrepreneur and race driver, Anthony Liu. The car will officially be unveiled at the Shaghai Auto Show 2013 and will be sporting a similar colour scheme to the Veyron Super Sport WRC we all know so well! The Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse has a 8-liter W16 engine with 1200hp and 1500Nm of torque. The increased power is made possible by using bigger turbo’s and intercoolers. This WRC (World Record Car) edition will be available for 2 million euros each and only 8 will be made. Don’t expect to see any coming to South Africa!
