Mercedes Aiming at Premium Sports Car Market with SLC AMG

For those of you who do not know about this, Mercedes has set their sights on competing with the Porsche 911 and Audi R8, and so the AMG division want to enter the market with a premium sports car that is a lot cheaper than the SLS AMG. It will be called the SLC AMG and will apparently go on sale in 2015. It will be much lighter than the big brother and you may have a choice between three V8 variants and possibly an entry-level V6. Power output is estimated to be around 450hp to well over 500hp for the Black Series version. Only negative I can say for now is that due to costs, the SLC will not come with gull-wing doors.
