Finally we get to see all the details for the crazy new Yaris Hybrid-R concept scheduled for its public appearance next week in Frankfurt. As mentioned before it has a power output of 420hp (300hp from 1.6-litre turbocharged engine and 120hp from 2 electric motors powering each rear wheel). These electric motors can only be engaged for a maximum of 5 seconds in Track mode. A 3rd electric motor is used during deceleration to feed the capacitor and to feed power to the 2 rear motors. This in other words is like a traction control system. Lovely 18″ TRD alloys have been fitted and the cabin is fitted with Recaro racing seats. This is one hot little car and must be a blast to drive around the track. Can’t wait to see some footage!
