First BMW i8 Crashed in Germany

It seems that the first BMW i8 car has been crashed after the 30 year old lost control on wet roads in Germany. The driver was believed to be a test driver putting the i8 prototype through its paces when things went wrong. Local police think that speed was a contributing factor and I would tend to agree. The sports car crashed into the median barrier which caused it to shoot back across the road and coming to rest in right lane. Although the full extent of the damage cannot be seen, it is believed that the car will be a total loss. This may be the first i8 incident but it certainly wont be the last as this thing is a little rocket!
