McLaren Insider Apparently Said P1 Does The Ring in 6 Minutes and 30 Seconds

Once again the laptime for the P1 around ‘The Ring’ has been brought up again after Autocar are citing a McLaren insider for stating that the car did it in around 6 minutes and 30 seconds. The source said that “is is a fair bit quicker than that, in the six minute and 30 second mark”. When he said fair bit quicker than that, he was referring to the rumoured time of 6:47 which was doing the rounds last year. In my opinion, the Porsche 918 Spyder is still ‘king of the ring’ because we have heard nothing OFFICIAL from any official source. Getting a bit annoyed with McLaren on this one. People are clearly interested to know the time and if it is as quick as they say it is then I think LaFerrari is not a threat.
