Here we have it folks, the footage of the record-setting top speed run with the Hennessey Venom GT. On the 14th of Feb, this car reached the highest top speed ever recorded by a production car after it hit 270.49 mph at the Kennedy Space Centre. This top speed just beats the uber-epic Bugatti Veyron Super Sport which set a speed of 269.86 mph back in 2010. Unfortunately, to make it an official record, the car needs to make two runs (one in each direction) and the Venom only did it in one direction after the NASA guys refused to let them run in the other direction.
