Audi Apparently Ditching The V8 Engine For Next Gen R8

The new Audi R8 is only a few weeks away from the official reveal and although we have seen an apparent leaked image / very good render, what we didn’t know is that Audi are apparently getting rid of the 4.2-litre V8. The engine that will be fitted to the car in Geneva will be the 5.2-litre V10 – the same one found in the Lamborghini Huracan. At some point in the next-gen R8’s life, a hybrid version will be introduced and possibly a pure-electric version too. I am just happy that the launch car is getting a big screaming V10.
