We know McLaren is set to reveal its new Sports Series at the New York Auto Show next month and this series will be made up of several ‘family’ members distinguished by performance and style. The Super Series consists of a softer model, mid-level performer and a pure performance variant which in this case is the 625C, 650S and 675LT respectively. Autovisie are reporting that the first Sports Series member will be the 650S equivalent (in the series) and will be badged as the 570S. This will mean that the car will pack 570 metric horsepower which is 562 normal horsepower. With a power rating like this, you can expect them to take aim at the new Ferrari California T and the Porsche 911 Turbo S. It is expected to launch as a coupe and then lose its roof in Spider form shortly after the launch. I look forward to seeing this car as I think it will sell very well with pricing estimated to be below $200k mark in the States.
