According to Autocar, the mental McLaren P1 GTR will be converted by British marque specialist Lanzante for road use. Yes you read that correctly, there will be road-going McLaren P1 GTR’s. Sources say that the demand from customers who have bought the track-only version convinced the firm to undertake the conversion work. Reports are suggesting that the converted P1 GTR’s will initially be homologated for European and Middle Eastern road regulations but that conversions to meet regulations in other parts of the world are being investigated. The McLaren factory as well as the MSO division are not directly involved but it is beleived that they have given their blessing and will co-operate to ensure its success. This is absolutely awesome news and I cannot wait for one of these converted cars to be spotted on a public road.
