We all saw the mad VW Golf TCR concept a few weeks back well now Opel has shed some light on their competitor to this. It is set to make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year and although it is based off the new-generation Opel Astra, it is being developed in accordance with current regulations of the TCR series. All cars in the Touring Car Racing series must have a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine producing a maximum of 325 horsepower and 410 Nm of torque. The renderings show a seriously angry looking Astra hatch with flaring wheels arches, bumpers and massive rear wing. Testing is said to begin in October this year.
