The Mercedes-AMG GT is currently the German marques latest sports car / supercar offering but word on the street is that they are planning an even more powerful “halo” model. Autoblog spoke to an AMG product planner which has revealed that the company is working an an ALL-NEW model that will feature a hybridized powertrain that consists of a new V12 engine, an electric motor and a battery pack. No mention of any performance numbers but the report does state that it could offer the “greatest performance of any Mercedes yet.” Other than this, little else is known but don’t get too excited because this is likely a few years away.
