AutoCar recently had a chat to AMG boss Tobias Moers and it seems that they are considering adding another stand-along AMG model to sit above the GT Coupe.
“My personal thinking is that we are now at a level where we could support another dedicated AMG model” – Tobias Moers told Autocar. What is interesting about this though is it will not be a successor to the SLS and it will not compete in the hypercar class. Instead they are probably going to take aim at the likes of the McLaren 650S and Ferrari 488 GTB using the whole BMW i8 concept but at a much higher level of performance. The decision regarding this car is expected to be taken later this year.
