So according to some trademark applications done by BMW, we should be seeing the return of the might 8 Series as a luxury GT to take on the Mercedes S-Class Coupe. Late last month it applied for the following names; 825, 830, 835, 850, 845, 860 and M850. Someone from inside BMW told AutoExpress that this was not just a case of keeping the badge for the future but for something that is rather imminent. To keep the M fans happy, BMW has also applied to register the M8 badge which could mean the arrival of one serious production car. This would likely rival the Mercedes-AMG S63/S65 Coupe and the M division will likely fit it with the 4.4-litre V8 pumping out many horses.
