In today’s marketplace, buying used cars is an increasingly frequent occurrence for drivers of all backgrounds. After all, we all wish to drive the very best vehicle that our budgets can afford. With a rough guide of anywhere between R450,000 and R600,000 for a 2015 or 2016 model, BMW’s i3 certainly stirs excitement. But is it worth the investment?

In short: yes it is. For starters, the German manufacturer is a name that you can trust thanks to a rich history that stretches back over a century. In truth, BMW has been a leader in the hybrid and electric car arena for some time. But it’s the individual merits of the i3 that offer motorists with reasons to get excited.

If you’re interested in purchasing a BMW i3, then the eco-friendly benefits will clearly be on of the main incentives. The sophisticated German car is far from being the only electric model on the market. However, with a battery-only life of over 110 miles, it’s certainly one of the best. Meanwhile, the hybrid consumptions are equally pleasing.

The i3 truly stands out from the crowd, however, due to it’s look and performance. Understandably, it is quite a tall vehicle, especially compared to some of the other models in BMW’s recent ranges. Thankfully, the low position of the battery components means that the performance remains sporty and fun. Better still, the German manufacturer has found a way to combine those fundamentals with its iconic aesthetic appeal.

Of course, the i3 comes in a variety of colour options, with some of the two-tone varieties working particularly well. Silver with black would be our preference, but most drivers can find a solution to sort their need. Meanwhile, the relatively spacious cabin and panoramic driving views make it a delight. Quite frankly, that level of style is something most electric cars still lack.

If you’re going to buy a car that’s friendly to the environment, then it should be kind to your wallet too. As already mentioned, you can see change from R500k on a 2015 model while the 2016 versions aren’t much more. Visit http://www.gsmautomotive.com.au/Services to find out about a number of used car upgrades. Your i3 will soon be purring, not that you’d hear it – the car’s minimal sound is particularly pleasing.

When buying a vehicle of any kind, there are several boxes to tick. Firstly, the vehicle needs to be safe, aesthetically pleasing, and enjoyable to ride. Moreover, it always pays to have a car that boasts the logo of a prestigious brand. In today’s climate, though, most drivers also take great pride in knowing that their model is great for both the environment and their pockets. Quite frankly, the BMW i3 ticks all of the boxes in emphatic style. This is especially true when going for a recent model from the past couple of years.

If you’re looking to invest in a used motor anytime soon, the i3 is a clear winner for the shortlist.
