So you want to buy the best car? Okay, and you want a smooth ride, a quiet cabin a powerful engine and a lot of style? Right? Okay, good. How about a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system? Check. A V8 engine? Check. All-wheel drive and the smoothest ride ever? Check. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with Bluetooth connectivity and USB ports? Check. How about satellite radio, rearview camera, heated mirrors, leather upholstery, heated front seats, an 8.4-inch touchscreen interface and auto-dimming rearview mirror? Check.

What about comfort tuned suspension, driver seat memory settings, heated driver seat, adaptive xenon headlights, heated and cooled front cupholders, blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warning system, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking and forward collision mitigation system? Check. Well, what it sounds like from this list is that you really want either a $65 million jet, a $125 million yacht or a Chrysler 300 four-door sedan.

Oh, so it is the Chrysler – good choice and it’s much, much less expensive. The comfort level is the same, no doubt, and the ride is just as magical, comfortable and safe, and actually there is a lot more privacy, so the Chrysler is the best choice. Don’t forget that the 300 offers the Uconnect 8.4 system that is such an easy device to master. It’s also quick and the graphics are clear and accessible.

Braking from a speed of 60 miles per hour takes only 120 feet, which is very good for a car this size.  Handling is smooth, responsive and controlled. The eight-speed automatic transmission makes everything work effortlessly. It makes going up hills as easy as the unseen downshifting on the downslope. There is more than ample head, leg and shoulder room and we are understating this quality. The 300 is in one sense, built like the Chryslers of the 1930s, 40s and 50s. It’s big, assertive and roomy. You can have a party in the back seat if you want and then move up to the front cabin when you want different scenery.  The 2017 Chrysler 300 can be test driven at Lone Star Chrysler Dodge in San Antonio. Once you see one you’ll want to take it ome.
