Any situation where you need to call a towing service is likely to be less than ideal, particularly if you’re the type who suffers from anxiety. However, the situation can be made a whole lot worse if you do not choose the right towing company. It can be a good idea to do some research into which towing companies are good, so that you would know who to call if an emergency does arise. There are certain things that you should look out for when you are choosing a towing company and these are described in more detail below.

    Ask Family And Friends

One of the easiest ways to find a reliable towing company is to ask your family and friends for their recommendations. They will be able to share their first hand experiences with companies that they have used and this can help you create a shortlist. Of course, it’s never a good idea to strike one company off the list because of one person’s bad experience. It’s always better to get the opinions of a lot of people, to get a good sample size for your choice.

    Check Out Online Reviews

If you do not have family or friends that have used a towing company recently then you can check out reviews online. There are many sites where people can leave reviews of companies that they have used in the past. You can use these sites on Ottawa Towing to compare any towing companies that you want to find more information about it.

Speak To Someone From The Company

You should get a good idea of whether the employees of the company are friendly and professional from the first contact that you have with them. If you contact them for more information about the services that they offer then this can be a good opportunity to see what their customer service is like. This is also a good chance to ask them any questions that you have about the service that you offer.

    Look At Any Additional Benefits

Some towing companies will offer more services than others and so you should find out what you will be getting for your money. One particular thing you may want to look at is whether the company offers long distance service or not. This can give you peace of mind that wherever you are you will not be left in a position where your car and you will not be rescued.

Do They Offer A 24 Hour Service?

Breakdowns can occur at any time of the day, so you will want to make sure that the company will come and help out whenever you call them. This can give you peace of mind that you will never be left stranded on the side of the road. Try to find out whether there will be someone to answer the phone if you call out of hours or if it goes to a voicemail.

Breaking down can be a stressful time but you can alleviate some of this stress if you know you have a towing company that you can rely on. Spending a bit of time doing some research now could save you a lot of pain in the future. You never know when being aware of a good towing service that you know you can rely on will come in useful.

    • We waited a fair bit for the Tiguan R to arrive but that means it has been given enough thought and executed with the sort of German precision that makes us happy to have waited.

As fast SUVs go it’s a cracker, and with a price tag starting from R1,014,900 it is actually decent value in the segment.

It’s fun, aggressive when you want it to be and remarkably civilised when you don’t. Cars like this rarely make sense, but the Tiguan R is one case where that argument starts to change one's mind.

We cannot wait to drive the matching Golf next week!

Zandvoort Blue would not be our choice but the looks have certainly grown on us. What about all of you?

    • If you’re expecting a faster, angrier and more focused version of the original 86, you’re going to be happy with this car.

Toyota finally gave the 86 more power. It’s not take-your-breath-away power, but again, it’s not made to win drag races. If you want more power, get a Supra.

Sure it is a bit more pricey this time around but it is a no-regrets kind of car that you will enjoy just as much today as 10 years from now.

Long live the manual transmission, especially when it’s packaged within something as fun as the Toyota GR86.
