As a business, you run many operations, and each of them leads to attaining your bottom line, which is making profits. One of the key operations of any business is marketing, even if it’s often not the core. Marketing will make your brand known for the goods and services you provide. Otherwise, you’ll manufacture goods and set up service provisions that will all go to waste since you won’t have a market.

Like any other endeavour, planning is of the essence in marketing. You don’t want to approach this blindly and waste your resources. Therefore, as you begin advertising your brand, learn how to develop good strategies that suit the requirements of your business. You can start learning how to design the best marketing plan for your auto repair shop by reading the advice provided in this article.

    Identify Your Target Audience

Your target audience is the reason your business is in existence; they’re the ones who seek your auto services. Therefore, you should centre all your marketing strategies around them. How?

Start by identifying them and creating profiles around each of them. As an auto repair shop, you could be offering your services to both commercial and individual car owners. Identify their pain points when it comes to car repairs. You can seek direct feedback from them because it’s the only way you’ll know what they need.

Besides their pain points, pinpoint their dislikes, location, average income, age, etc. These aspects will help you find the ideal auto repair marketing strategy to implement that will resonate with them.

    Set Your Marketing Goals

It’s said that no plan is a plan without goals. Goals tend to be the reason you create the plan in the first place. Therefore, the best marketing plan should have goals. In this case, your goals should be those of your marketing department rather than the entire business. After all, achieving your marketing goals will benefit your company in general.

So, the first thing you must do is to assess your current situation regarding sales. This is crucial since marketing also has to do with how your sales directly impact your brand’s visibility. As your auto repair shop’s sales rise, it will become more well-known. But in order to be acknowledged globally, it must have an online presence. Therefore, setting a goal to create a website and opening social media accounts on various platforms will be helpful in this regard.

You should first outline what you want to achieve by opening the accounts. For instance, you can aim for a 3% increase in website visitors after the first two months. With such an approach, you’ll be able to set goals and performance standards. Ensure that your performance standards are quantitative for easier and more accurate analyses and conclusions.

    Have A Budget

Part of a marketing plan involves having the means to actualize your plan. In this case, you can only carry out your marketing plan if you have the necessary funds. Hence, you must create a budget.

Use your list of goals to go about budget allocation. Instead of general goal approximation, break each goal into the specific activities leading to its realization, including labor and technologies you’ll need for auto repairs. Such a breakdown gives an estimate close enough to the actual figure, increasing your chances of reaching your marketing goals.

If the plan’s final figure is too high, readjust the prices by finding alternative but efficient ways to execute it. Also, consider identifying potential risks and allocate budgets for each. You don’t want to start executing your plan only to stop midway due to a lack of funds.

Besides actualizing your marketing plan, a budget will help you manage resources better and avoid waste.

    Identify Your Marketing Strategies

You’ll find companies in the same industry offering the same service in the business world. There’s a high likelihood you aren’t the only business offering auto repair services in your location. This means you have competitors, and you must stand out.

The majority of companies, including your competitors, have already incorporated marketing into their operations. Therefore, you should consider studying the marketing strategies they have implemented. This is often public information since the ads are out there.

So, how will you know these strategies are working? You can easily approximate the number of clients they receive regularly. If they’re many, it means the strategies are working for them. Therefore, it’d help to add the same strategies to your marketing plan. During implementation, you don’t necessarily need to adopt the strategies as they are. They can be modified to produce better results and fit your company’s needs. After all, the ultimate goal is to establish yourself as a distinctive brand.

    Conclusion

Your auto repair shop requires the best marketing plan to get as many clients as possible. This article discusses how to design the ideal marketing plan for your shop to help you attain your overall goals. Consider implementing the tips herein, and your business will thank you for it. You’ll wonder why you didn’t get the plan sooner.

    • The BMW i4 M50 is quite possibly the best EV we have had the pleasure of testing.

It's superbly comfortable but at the simple touch of a button, it switches from tourer to tornado and you find yourself instantly doing speeds you should not be doing.

While not all EVs will have the same refinement or scintillating performance, this was both relaxing and thrilling to drive.

The Gran Coupé is a handsome car with a sense of sleek length and disguises its hatchback as a booted saloon rear end and that M Portimao Blue metallic paint certainly garnered a lot of positive attention.

Compared with the BMW iX it’s less of a show-stopper, but comes with a much more attractive price tag – and while the i4 is still quite the financial investment (R1,6m) we feel it gives you excellent value in return.

Yes, we did have a few charging issues (Eskom) and if you don't have a Wallbox charger at home filling up with petrol is MUCH easier. However, that being said if you’re looking for an outstanding driving experience both on the twisties and on the highway, this is definitely worth considering if you have decided to make the jump to the electric car.

    • Our time has come to an end with the most potent version of Mzansi’s favourite bakkie, the new Toyota Hilux GR-Sport.

The 2.8-litre turbo diesel powerplant has been tweaked to push out 165kW and 550 Nm thanks to an updated ECU which also responsible for the much needed revised mapping of the six-speed auto.

The sporty Hilux gets new monotube shocks as well as stiffer coil springs which make the bakkie a lot more settled at higher speed and provide great feedback on some of the twisty bits. If you don’t have a full load at the back however, you might find it a tad too stiff and rather twitchy for day to day driving.

Inside you get a load of sporty touches including “carbon fibre” trim pieces but the highlight has to be the race inspired front seats complete with Alcantara inserts and some GR badging on the headrests.

For the Hilux customers, this is a welcome addition to the range as the exterior and interior aesthetics align very neatly with the GR brand.

Yours from R891,400. Are you picking this or the Legend RS?
