So a new Golf costs around $24 000 and you can pick up a second hand one for around $5 700 so you would assume that the Golf, with 62 000 miles on the clock, that used to belong to Kate Middleton would fetch something in the $8 000 region? Well you are wrong… horribly wrong! It went for sale on the eBay auction site and managed to secure a whopping $78 383 which is about R600 000. I understand there are people out there who adore the royal wedding and all that goes with it but to buy a crappy little golf that is 10 years old for over half a million rand is absolute MADNESS!
