Audi own Italdesign Giugiaro so they can pretty much do as they please with the company and it seems they have. They call it the Nanuk Quattro Concept and it “combines the dynamics of a high-performance sports car with Audi’s Quattro expertise on the road, on the race track and also off-road”. It is powered by a very beefy 5.0-litre V10 TDI engine and is along with the Quattro system it comes with integral steering. It is a 2-seater with a new V10 TDI that pushes 536hp and 1000Nm of torque. Although it weighs a hefty 1900 kg, it still manages the 100 km/h sprint in just 3.8 seconds and goes on to an astonishing 305 km/h. Carbon fibre ceramic brakes and adaptive air suspension with 3 levels of ground clearance are both awesome specs to have but what is the most intriguing is the looks. Based very much on the Italdesign Giugiaro Parcour coupe concept but slightly better looking thanks to the R8-style sideblades and big air intakes. It will all be revealed tomorrow in Frankfurt so stay tuned for live pictures. I am hoping it looks a little better than the renderings because something is not right for me…
