A few weeks ago, a 34 year old driver of this Corvette lost control after pushing it a little too hard around a corner. The car smashed through the barriers off the road circuit and then collided with the spectators watching the race. Unfortunately 10 of them were injured with 6 of them being serious. It is very important to realise for yourself that even you are standing behind barriers and fences etc at motor racing events things can still go pear-shaped and you may be hurt or even killed.
