Matt Collins from BMW has revealed that the company is not planning to offer a CSL variant of the new M3 or M4. “There are no plans on a CSL or anything like a CSL either. The original CSL was great because it had this real focus on lightweight engineering but we’ve already done that with these new cars. We’ve made them as light as possible, they come in under 1500 kg’s, which for a car like this is incredible” said Collins. Even though Collins has said that there are no plans for anything like a CSL, there are some murmurs around the net of a possible BMW M4 GTS which will be a hardcore racer version of the M4 so I wouldn’t get too upset yet!
