Well well, what do we have here? Could this be the highly-anticipated 2016 Nissan GT-R leaked via a Japanese car magazine? Sources behind the image and details are slightly sketchy but if they are true, this new GT-R could be a serious game changer. A new hybrid powertrain that will be developed by Williams and Nismo will be pshing the 800 hp mark. A whopping 580 hp from the exisiting 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 and then an additional 250 hp thanks to a KERS like system. If these figures are the real deal then this car could be the cheapest alternative to a hypercar. 100 km/h would come up in under 2.8 seconds which is not much faster than the current GT-R Nismo but acceleration after this point while be the mind blowing thing. The last specualtion is that the new Nissan GT-R could be revealed in as soon as one year. This is seriously exciting stuff! I hope the saying “where there is smoke there is fire is true:”
