This comes as no surprise but the new BMW M3 and M4 are at the centre of every tuner’s attention and it seems like a bit of a game to them as to who can offer the most potent upgrade for the new M cars. The team from Mcchip-DKR seem to be on top as they have offered quite the upgrade for the S55 engine. In stock form the S55 engine produces 431 horses and 550 Nm thanks to those twin turbo’s but after the Stage 1 from Mcchip-DKR, you can expect to pump up those numbers to 500 hp and 650 Nm. If you want to go a bit further, you can choose Stage 2 which offers a full 100 hp upgrade from stock and it will be packing a very impressive 680 Nm of torque. Stage 1 will set you back €1,299 and takes about 3 to 4 hours to install and if you want to go mad and put on Stage 2 then you looking at €1,599. This includes a performance measurement on the company’s dyno so you know they not messing you around. Sounds quite intriguing I must say!
