The Huracán LP610-4 Is Much Faster Than What Lamborghini Told Us

Having just driven the new Lamborghini Huracán I know that with its 602 horses it is properly fast but recent tests by Car and Driver indicate that it is much quicker than what Lamborghini claim. In one of the biggest suprises of the year, they managed to launch the car from 0 to 96 km/h in an astound 2.5 seconds flat. Just to put that into comparison, they Bugatti Veyron Super Sport accomplishes the same sprint in 2.46 seconds, the Caparo T1 in 2.5 seconds, the McLaren P1 in 2.6 seconds and the big daddy Aventador in 2.9 seconds.

In a video I discovered on YouTube, I timed the acceleration myself and I came out with a 2.6 second sprint to 100 km/h. This is 0.6 seconds faster than what Lamborghini told us when they released the car. The top speed in this same video goes all the way to 340 km/h and Lamborghini told us the top speed was 325 km/h. I have to wonder why they were ‘falsifying’ the figures or were they just being cautious? Either way this baby bull is not a baby at all but in fact the fastest production Lamborghini ever made.
