Christian von Koenigsegg has announced that they have the intention of setting a new lap record at the Nurburgring next year. He said recently that he hates the need to set a record but “this is one of the ways your prove yourself in this part of the market”. This means that their epic One:1 and the Agera R will take to the track to try claim the number one spot and hopefully by a serious margin. The Porsche 918 Spyder did it in 6 minutes and 57 seconds and the initial estimates regarding the One:1’s time is in the 6:30 region.
