McLaren Unveils Their Cheapest Model To Date The 540C Coupe

The 540C is the second member of the Sports Series lineup and it adopts a “subtly revised aerodynamic package” as well as unique 19/20 inch wheels with a silver or stealth finish. Power comes from the same twin-turbo V8 but this time it pushes out 533 horsepower and 540 Nm of torque. This ‘sports car’ can hit 100 km/h from stand still in 3.5 seconds and do 0 to 200 km/h in just 10.5 seconds. There is nothing entry-level about it in my eyes but with a price tag starting at £126,000 this will be very competitive. The 540C has retuned dampers to make it a better car to drive daily and it will no doubt be the company’s “most attainable” model with deliveries scheduled for early next year.
