According to WreckedExotics, this particular BMW i8 was being driven by a local journalist in Mexico when things went wrong. No information was shared regarding injuries to the occupant(s) but I am assuming they would have made it through without serious injuries if they were wearing their seat-belts. Looking at the photos, one can assume that the carbon fibre frame is likely damaged which could end up totaling the car. Hate seeing such an epic car in this sort of state but it is just another reminder to keep it civilised and safe on public roads.
