A BMW enthusiast from Eastern Jakarta loved the idea of a 1M hatchback so much that he built one himself. The 1M hatchback started as a three-door 1 Series with a 2 litre engine – before being swapped out for the N54 unit found in the 1M. It took him only 6 months to complete the whole project which is not exactly a long time considering the enormous amount of work done on the body and internals. He first installed a set of original 1M bodyparts then added the BWM M Performance rear spoiler and a set of black 19 inch Advan RS-D wheels finished the look. This is serious dedication if you ask me but the result is fantastic and he can proudly say he owns the only ‘1M Hatch’ in the world.
