Aston Martin Confirm New Twin-Turbo V12 Engine

Aston Martin has just confirmed that they will be building a brand new 5.2-litre V12 engine and it will be twin-turbocharged. The existence of a new V12 engine has been rumoured for some time, but has now been confirmed via a short YouTube video issued by the British manufacturer. The video focuses on the components, before zooming out to show the engine cover reading ‘V12 5.2 Twin Turbo’ and finishing with a message saying ‘Coming Soon’. No official word on whether the DB11 will use it but it makes sense considering that it is their most important new car of the decade. Nothing has been mentioned about power output from the new engine but it is very likely that it could surpass the 568bhp served up by the previous-gen V12 used in the Aston Martin Vanquish.
