Mercedes-AMG Tease Their New GT R Before Goodwood FoS Debut

The angriest version of the excellent Mercedes-AMG GT has got it’s first teaser ahead of its premiere at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on the 24th of June. We are not 100% sure why they opted for the selection of the letter ‘R’ as this is heavily associated with Nissan’s ridiculously fast GT-R. It will have more power than the GT S model (503hp) but we expect the 4.0-litre twin-turbo engine to produce something around the 550 to 600 horsepower mark. Torque figure will also rise while the 0 to 100 km/h time should drop by a tenth or two. The car will be lighter, it should get uprated brakes, wheels, tyres and suspension but most importantly it will get a sexy bodykit too (as seen in the teaser). You cannot see it all but you can see some beefed up wheel arches, fixed rear wing and the new front grille with the vertical slats.
