Rumors Indicate That Audi May Unveil 310 Horsepower RS1

The Audi A1 is the smallest in their range of vehicles and if you opt for the top-of-the-range from the model, you will get a 231 horsepower S1 packing a 2.0-litre turbocharged motor turning all for wheels. If you were lucky enough to get your hands on the A1 Quattro (only 333 built) then you would be packing 265 horses. So Audi has created two performance variants of the A1 but according to Automoto, they are not finished and could possibly be building an RS1. The rumor is that the RS1 would borrow the engine from the S3 and produce around 300 horsepower. Like other RS cars, the RS1 would probably get a dual-clutch or automatic transmission which would help it launch like a rocket. Reveal would be Geneva Motor Show next year and as much as we would love this to be true, we can’t get too excited just yet.
