According to Autoguide, BMW has filed several trademarks in the recent weeks with the World Intellectual Property Organization, suggesting that an entire range of new ‘CS’ models are coming. The trademarks registered start from the M1 CS and go all the way through to the M8 CS. As the rumors have indicated prior to this, we may indeed see an M4 CS and M2 CS sooner than any of the others.

What would a CS model mean? Well the cars in question will likely keep their same engine albiet with a slight power bump, more extensive use of lightweight materials and some aerodynamic parts to enhance downforce and looks.

If these trademarks are all going to be used, then we can expect a BMW M8 sometime in the future.
