Aston Martin AM-RB 001 Sold Out – Will Not Feature A Single Steel Component

It comes as no surprise that the Aston Martin Red Bull love child known as the AM-RB 001 has sold out but what is quite unusual is the manufacturer behind the build actually tweeted this. It remains unclear whether a planned 25-car track-only production run has also been spoken for as the 150 units already sold are road-going versions. Marek Reichman, Aston Martin design boss revealed that the new car is due for delivery in late 2018 and will not feature a single piece of steel in its construction, such is the focus on saving weight. He said the car will be constructed almost entirely from carbon fibre and titanium. Its wheels will be carbon and magnesium and its engine will be aluminum.

We can also confirm that all 150 road car versions of the AM-RB 001 hypercar have been sold. #AMRB001 pic.twitter.com/Kt1kNYAqS0
