When did you last wash your vehicle? Whether you make it a DIY project or hire a professional they’re some of the most basic yet critical types of maintenance for cars and trucks. However, it’s critical to get it done right so you’ll get the best results. That will help to boost the life of your car’s paint and finish and make it look like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Here are some of the most critical tips to keep in mind:

    1. Use baby shampoo to remove bird droppings

This might seem like an odd step to take when washing your car but it works. Make sure to dilute the shampoo first and also remove the poop even if you don’t have enough time to wash the whole car right now. The shampoo is super gentle and also breaks up the droppings quickly so the next step is just to wipe it away. Don’t leave the shampoo in the vehicle too long and especially on sunny days since it can cause the paint to fade.

It’s important to use the right substance when cleaning bird droppings from your vehicle. Keep in mind its waste material so if you use the wrong substance it could actually produce a dangerous blend when it contacts the vehicle’s paint. Visit a professional car wash Madison Alabama to ensure your vehicle is properly cared for and cleaned inside and out for a spotless finish.

    1. Read directions of car cleaners

When picking a car cleaner to make sure that you don’t use a cleaner that’s too strong for car paint. Dishwashing liquid and Lysol are some of the substances you should definitely avoid. Make sure to pick products that are designed for washing car surfaces so you’ll get the best results.

Make sure to read the instructions of any car care products you use for washing your car/truck since there might be some special instructions or tips about how to get the best results. For example, you might have to wait X minutes before you rinse or buff the car after applying the product. This will help to produce the best results and get the auto squeaky-clean.

    1. Wash the wheels first

Make sure to use a wheel cleaner and start with the wheels before you wash the rest of the vehicle. Follow the instructions to apply the cleaner using a spray bottle then let it sit while you wash the rest of the auto. Dirt and grime that cake onto the wheels are usually tougher to get off so it takes more time to clean them.

    1. Remove clothes with metal pieces and jewelry

You obviously wouldn’t want to scratch your vehicle’s body while washing it but it could happen accidentally. Make sure the clothes you wear are comfortable and don’t have metal snaps or zippers since they could scratch the car’s paint. One of the most common situations that could happen is when you’re leaning on the ride to reach the roof, and particularly when it’s high.

You should also remove all jewelry prior to washing the car. That includes items like:

    • Belts
    • Necklaces
    • Rings
    • Watches

If there are other metal accessories that could scratch up the paint you should leave them indoors before you start washing your vehicle. After washing/waxing your car you can drive around in style.

    1. Use the right amount of water

It’s important not to use too much or too little water when washing your car or truck. If you use too little H2O the soap won’t work effectively. Meanwhile, using too much water can wash away all the soap before it’s able to loosen up all the dirt and grime on your vehicle.

One of the best tools you can use is a sprayer head on a hose that contains multiple settings like spray, mist, and flat. That will allow you to tweak how the water contacts your car or truck. You can also check out the portable steam machines over at fortador-usa.com. This basic step can produce a world of difference when washing your vehicle and improve the results.

    1. Use the proper towel-drying method

Keep in mind that towels are designed to soak up liquid instead of rubbing/scrubbing. Place a clean/dry towel flat on your vehicle then put it down to the surface of the vehicle. Repeat this process until your auto is totally dry. You’ll likely need many towels to use this technique effectively.

    • We waited a fair bit for the Tiguan R to arrive but that means it has been given enough thought and executed with the sort of German precision that makes us happy to have waited.

As fast SUVs go it’s a cracker, and with a price tag starting from R1,014,900 it is actually decent value in the segment.

It’s fun, aggressive when you want it to be and remarkably civilised when you don’t. Cars like this rarely make sense, but the Tiguan R is one case where that argument starts to change one's mind.

We cannot wait to drive the matching Golf next week!

    • If you’re expecting a faster, angrier and more focused version of the original 86, you’re going to be happy with this car.

Toyota finally gave the 86 more power. It’s not take-your-breath-away power, but again, it’s not made to win drag races. If you want more power, get a Supra.

Sure it is a bit more pricey this time around but it is a no-regrets kind of car that you will enjoy just as much today as 10 years from now.

Long live the manual transmission, especially when it’s packaged within something as fun as the Toyota GR86.
