Why Your Car Is Filthy And How To Bust The Grime

Your pride and joy might not be making you so proud right now. If it’s covered in muck from bugs, birds, and goodness knows what, it’s probably not making you happy at all. And it doesn’t get much better inside. Dust, crummies and the odd coin make your car interior look dirty, unkempt and far from the appearance you want. There is only one thing for it – get out your waxes and cleaning cloths because it’s going to be a long afternoon.

There are several reasons why you should keep your car looking clean and immaculate at all times. The first is obvious – you never know when you’re going to give someone a lift. Your car says a lot about you, so you definitely don’t want it looking dirty and uncared for. The second reason you should keep your interior clean is for your own health. Slippery pedals can lead to dangerous accidents. And extra dust in the cabin can cause distractions from sneezing and coughing.

Another reason for ensuring the outer body of your car is clean is to prevent damage occurring to the paint or alloys. Bird mess, in particular, isn’t just toxic – it can be corrosive. The longer it’s on there, the tougher it is to get it off. Have a look for a pressure washer from pressurewashervote to give you an idea how they can be used to keep your vehicle looking pristine. Of course, you might be keen to find ways to prevent this happening in the first place.

Most of the residues and dirt on the car come from weathering. Rain and wind bring dirt particles to the surface of the vehicle that then stick or dry to form a mucky coating. Either park under cover, or cover up your car if you know a weather front is on the way. This is also the best way to avoid bird mess. Of course, insects cannot be avoided as you drive at high speeds. Use a good car shampoo and wax to make it easier to clean these away from your grill, lights, and bumper.

When was the last time you replaced your cabin filters? It’s essential for your health to have these things serviced annually. Some filters can cause fuel blockages which will lead to spillages and toxic fumes reaching the interior. Clean and fresh filters prevent pollen and dust getting into the car too. This will undoubtedly save you a huge cleaning job! And if you don’t like the look of crummies, stop eating in your car. It can lead to some pretty disgusting bacteria growing in there, and that won’t smell good.

As well as a good powerwasher, it’s always handy to have a screen cloth inside the car. Condensation can block your view, especially in winter weather or damp conditions. Use your climate control to keep the humidity in check in your vehicle. This will prevent that damp musty smell we all hate, or excessive dry dust occurring. Use a quality wax for your body work so that any extra residue or dirt will wash away quickly and easily. Take care of your car.
