When you have an old car that you no longer use or even a pile of old defective or “junk” parts for any old car, you might think of taking them straight to the scrap yard or dumping them as scrap metal. However, there are places online that facilitate you selling your, or any junk car parts. When you’re looking to get rid of old junk car parts, why not sell online? It’s more convenient, and you’re more likely to get a better price for a number of reasons – the market is much larger and if there’s someone that’s looking for what you’re selling, they’ll most likely be willing to pay you more for it than either a scrapyard would be, or someone that is not in absolute need of that part.

In this article, we’ll take a look at these places online that you can sell your junk car parts for cold hard cash!

ExchangeandMart – when selling old car parts online, there are a number of different methods that will allow you to access a number of different markets. ExchangeandMart allows you to place an advert for a small charge, and have a huge number of people view your advert given that they know and trust ExchangeandMart (or any website in question for that matter). ExchangeandMart allows for you to sell a variety of different types of car parts, allowing for new spare ones as well as old ones that you don’t use.

Junk Car Systems is another site where you can buy and sell car parts. There you can get a great deal and their team helps you through each step of the process.

Shopify – “Shopify” is most likely not the first name that comes into your head when you start thinking about “junk car parts online.” Shopify however, provides a wealth of opportunity, and you can do with it really whatever you wish – selling junk car parts for example. Shopify allows you to construct an online store that you own. It is extremely simple to set up a store with Shopify. Shopify is a platform that allows you to create from the ground up a business of your choice. Once you have established your store, Shopify will allow you to sell your junk car parts online in a huge number of places, such as various online marketplaces and social media platforms. In order to get cash for your junk car parts online using Shopify, simply setup a store via Shopify and sell away!

Parts Market – Parts Market is another option that you have to get cash for your junk car parts online – always remember, what you consider to be junk another person may not! If you have a bit of knowledge surrounding the part that you are trying to sell – such as what make and model of the vehicle it came from, how old it is, etc, Parts Market could be a great option for your sale! Parts Market allows users to search specifically for the part they are looking for, by first asking them for the make and model of the vehicle, and then asking them to specify the part for which they are looking.

If you are simply looking to get rid of your junk car parts as fast as possible, you should also consider the major large marketplaces such as eBay!

    • The Audi RS3 is one of two ultimate ‘mega hatches’, and probably the best of the breed. Its astonishing pace and theatrical engine combine with huge grip and more of a driver focus than previous generations. It’s also a brilliant daily.

Are you parting with R1.3m (or more) for one? Let us know in the comments below.

    • The BMW i4 M50 is quite possibly the best EV we have had the pleasure of testing.

It's superbly comfortable but at the simple touch of a button, it switches from tourer to tornado and you find yourself instantly doing speeds you should not be doing.

While not all EVs will have the same refinement or scintillating performance, this was both relaxing and thrilling to drive.

The Gran Coupé is a handsome car with a sense of sleek length and disguises its hatchback as a booted saloon rear end and that M Portimao Blue metallic paint certainly garnered a lot of positive attention.

Compared with the BMW iX it’s less of a show-stopper, but comes with a much more attractive price tag – and while the i4 is still quite the financial investment (R1,6m) we feel it gives you excellent value in return.

Yes, we did have a few charging issues (Eskom) and if you don't have a Wallbox charger at home filling up with petrol is MUCH easier. However, that being said if you’re looking for an outstanding driving experience both on the twisties and on the highway, this is definitely worth considering if you have decided to make the jump to the electric car.

    • The totally bonkers Ferrari 812 Competizione was spotted in Bryanston today by Brad Ainge.

It actually makes the F12tdf look quite tame in comparison. Which would you rather have?

Priced around R14m depending on spec.

    • Our time has come to an end with the most potent version of Mzansi’s favourite bakkie, the new Toyota Hilux GR-Sport.

The 2.8-litre turbo diesel powerplant has been tweaked to push out 165kW and 550 Nm thanks to an updated ECU which also responsible for the much needed revised mapping of the six-speed auto.

The sporty Hilux gets new monotube shocks as well as stiffer coil springs which make the bakkie a lot more settled at higher speed and provide great feedback on some of the twisty bits. If you don’t have a full load at the back however, you might find it a tad too stiff and rather twitchy for day to day driving.

Inside you get a load of sporty touches including “carbon fibre” trim pieces but the highlight has to be the race inspired front seats complete with Alcantara inserts and some GR badging on the headrests.

For the Hilux customers, this is a welcome addition to the range as the exterior and interior aesthetics align very neatly with the GR brand.

Yours from R891,400. Are you picking this or the Legend RS?
