Review of the 2020 Chevrolet Trax

Are you looking for the perfect car to take your family on that long drive? There is undoubtedly a long list of options from which selecting one would be challenging. With minimal knowledge in the working of automobiles, the job would appear to be even more complex. Chevrolet, like any other brand, has been launching numerous cars since their advent. Equinox has always stood out as the best Chevy SUV with its excellent features, but the factor of cost has made many potential buyers abstain from opting it. Budget SUVs have been coming into the picture ever since. Trax is one good option for such people, as it doesn’t drain all the money off of your pockets. Let us look into the features of the car.

    Subcompact SUV

Trax holds the eleventh position on the list of top Subcompact SUVs, and that isn’t as highly impressive as it may seem; nor is it downright underwhelming. The recorded engine power looks to be quite low for frequent use. Riding experience, too, has a vaguely turbulent touch to it. The interiors of the car have nothing more to offer than the usual comfort, which even the conventional low-budget hatchbacks provide. But what makes this worth buying is its easy maneuverability and highly intelligent infotainment technology.

Trax could stand as a good option for the ones who require a small space for travelling. For the average price range, the standard features that it provides is quite reasonable. The question of buying a used Trax would keep repeatedly popping up in your head. 2015 saw the launch of the first Trax, implying that your choice of purchasing a used one is quite sensible. Being relatively new to the market, choosing a used Trax does not impose much of a risk to the buyer. But also make sure that you check its features and performance before buying. If you are planning to purchase a used one, it would be best to go for the models that were launched after 2017; the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features were added to the car thenceforth. Go ahead and check the 2019 Chevrolet Trax Model LS vs LT Trim Levels, and see if it suits your requirements. The 2020 Trax is offered in three different trim levels, namely LS, LT, and Premier.

    Interiors of Trax

Although Trax has a seating capacity of five, the front cabin has been reduced to a narrow space, making the whole ride slightly uncomfortable. The remaining seats provide a pretty comfortable experience. Cannot say that the interiors have been moulded into a mess, but there appear to be a few redundant hard surfaces of plastic inside. It comes with a considerably good infotainment system, and the improved version has also incorporated the features such as satellite radio, proximity keyless entry, remote start, and a sunroof.

    Performance

Hitting the throttle harder would not make much of a difference, as the engine is quite weak. It promises to have a 31 mpg on the highways and 26 mpg in the city. With a tight turning radius, the steering of Trax has a high maneuvrability factor.

    Conclusion

Concluding and finally hitting ‘YES’ is purely subjective. But it also shouldn’t be an impulsive decision; read through every reliable review, trust your instincts, and go for it. Better features would be available in the contemporaries, but what Trax offers is the standard features at a substantially lower cost.
