If you are a fan of high-end sports cars, then you will love this one! Many people think that Porsche is the only way to go for fast luxury cars, but this model from Mercedes-AMG will cause you to think again. The sleek styling will turn heads everywhere you go, while the power under the hood will get you where you need to go in no time flat. This car is a great addition to the Mercedes lineup and is bound to whet your appetite for speed!

    Under the Hood

Let’s start with the obvious…what kind of power are we talking about here? Like the rest of the AMG line, there is plenty of power under the hood on this beast. The GT R is powered by a twin-turbo, 4.0L V8 that cranks out 577 horsepower. It is paired with a 7-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission for quick and efficient shifts. This combination will take you from 0-60 in a mere 3.5 seconds.

With all that power, you might expect this car to be a gas guzzler. However, that is not the case with the GT R. Surprisingly, it averages 15 miles per gallon in city driving and 20 mpg on the highway. You can cruise all day and not have to worry about breaking the bank on fuel costs. That is a nice departure from the norm as compared to most high performance vehicles.

In some ways, this car is built for the track. Its sleek and aerodynamic design, paired with chassis enhancements and a larger wing as compared to the regular GT model, make it perfectly designed to clock fast laps around the track. In fact, it is one of the fastest production cars available on the market.

    Interior

The interior is well appointed, yet a little cramped. It is a two-seater roadster, so you will not find a ton of room inside the cabin of the GT R. You will find performance bucket seats that hold you comfortably in place during maneuvering or tight corners. A great sound system and the Mercedes Infotainment screen complete the interior.

    Pricing

As you might expect, you will pay a pretty penny for the GT R if you decide to buy one. According to the Mercedes website, the GT R starts at $162,900 and goes up from there depending on the specific options you select. While this is a lot of money, it is in line with other similarly positioned models. You can expect to pay about the same thing for a similar Porsce, and even more for a Lamborghini or Ferrari.

If you have one you need to sell, it might be difficult to find a buyer in this price range. However, Auto Wranglers is now offering to buy any used car that you might own. They will make you a cash offer on your vehicle and even come pick it up for free. This can be a great way to get a competitive price for your car, and you can have the money in your pocket quickly.
