VW Preparing Radical Racing V6 Twin Turbo Golf GTI For Wörthersee

I just previously mentioned that Volkswagen would be bringing a special edition to Wörthersee and I also mentioned that it would not be as bonkers as the GTI W12 we saw in 2007. What we are now expecting is the new Design Vision GTI racing study which was created by a team under the head of design, Klaus Bischoff. So what is so great about that? Well for starters, it will be fitted with a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 that pushes out an almighty 496hp and 560Nm of torque. This concept will also be fitted with all-wheel drive (that power needs to be shared among the wheels) and connected to a dual-cluth DSG transmission. VW have already come out and said that it will top out at 300km/h and hit 100km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Getting the car to stop will be no problem wither because she will be fitted with ceramic brakes all round. Cosmetically, they will be adding a wide bodykit (71mm wider) to allow some big 20″ wheels and lowering it by a massive 57mm in comparison to the standard GTI. It will also feature newly styled bumpers, race-spec diffuser and lots more vents. Looking at these sketches it seems the entire interior has been completely revamped which shows new dashboard and console. I cannot wait to see this thing because if it looks anything like these sketches I might have a crisis! WOW!
