Gumpert Rises From The Dead To Display Explosion Coupe in Geneva

I sure as hell thought that Gumpert was bankrupt and that we would never see them again but I was horribly mistaken. The German supercar maker has arrived at the Geneva Motor Show with a world premiere coupe called Explosion. Roland Gumpert said “We want to convey to all those drivers who love motor sports what it feels like to sit behind the wheel of a rally car”. These rally/racing claims can be justified since under the hood it is powered by a 420 hp engine which will allow the AWD coupe to sprint to 100 km/h “inside of 3.0 seconds”. The Explosion is scheduled to go into production before the end of the year with a starting price of around $150 000 in Germany. This is VERY interesting to see and I like Gumpert’s fighting spirit!
