Aston Martin V8 Vantage N400 Roadster With Premier Bodykit In Cape Town South Africa

Now this comes as a very big surprise to me. Firstly to see an Aston Martin in South Africa with such an extreme bodykit is almost unheard of but to see a very special edition Aston with a bodykit on is just mind-boggling. This car started out life as an Aston Martin V8 Vantage N400 Roadster, which is quite a mouthful to say but it is rather rare. Only 240 of these were ever built to commemorate the company’s racing successes at the Nürburgring. The N400’s 4.3L V8 was tuned to produce 400 bhp hence the name, and the car also featured a sports pack which included lightweight graphite-finished wheels, uprated springs and dampers and a new rear anti-roll bar. The N400 was available in three special paint colours; Bergwerk Black, Lightning Silver and Karussell Orange. Each N400 came with perforated leather trim, including a map of the Nürburgring stitched on the center armrest, and a numbered plaque. Aston Martin tested the car at the Nürburgring circuit where it was able to complete a lap in under eight minutes which is why they made a total of 480 examples (240 coupes, 240 Roadsters). Why 480? Well that’s how many seconds are in 8 minutes. This Cape Town owner took this special car to a whole new level by fitting the full Premier Bodykit and to be completely honest, I think it looks absolutely fantastic. I would tweak the bumper at the back slightly but other than that this is quite easily the most unique Aston Martin in South Africa!
