BMW M4 GTS Unveiled In ‘Concept’ Form Looks Ready To Hit The Track

It has already been a year since the BMW M4 Coupe was launched and now at last we get a look at the most hardcore version of the car, the M4 GTS. The car has been unveiled at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in ‘concept’ form and it will simply be a limited-edition M4 Coupe with race-derived technology, power boost and some lightweight measures put in place.

“While the BMW M4 Coupe embodies the ideal combination of motor sport genes and unrestricted everyday usability, the BMW Concept M4 GTS previews an emotionally powerful and exclusive special model conceived with an eye for trailblazing technology and a keen focus on the race track,” said Frank van Meel, President BMW M Division.

The car is obviously fully road-legal and the concept car showcases the new water injection system and rear lights using OLED technology. The M4 GTS has a manually adjustable front splitter and rear wing and both of  these are finished in exposed carbon fibre. The entire bonnet is made from CFRP (carbon fibre reinforced plastic) which reduces the car’s weight and lowers the center of gravity. Visually, the Concept M4 GTS is finished in Frozen Dark Grey Metallic with Acid Orange accents on the front splitter and forged alloy wheels in 666 M styling. Unfortunately, no official performance figures have been released yet but we know it will get a bump up in output thanks to the water injection system. The car looks fantastic with the aero bits and pieces but I am not 100% sure on those wheels.
